Fall, Sin & Judgement : Part 7 – 2 Peter 3

25 – 27 February

Reflections on the Flood

  • This chapter is a reminder by Peter of the last days.
  • The whole earth stands in water. This is how it was in the times of Noah – people ignored the commands of God and forgot Him.
  • He warns us to remain faithful to God in these days.
Reflect on this faithful God who waits for us. How ought we to live at this time.

Something to think about, then take some time to reflect on your answers

Find the verses where Peter says ‘do not forget’. (Tip: v 5:8)

Then v9 – Peter says God does not forget His promises.

  • ‘The Lord is not slack concerning His promise’

▪️What is it he asks us not to forget?

Be reminded of how it was then. Keep in step with the Lord.

God asks us not to forget his promise.
When he promise, dont expect it to happen today in your time,.
God does things in his time when he knows its the right time.
Dont be impatient, dont get too hasty, dont rush to other Gods,
Believe and trust in the Lord always, he will make a way, he is able.
Fear is not our future, he is.
