Fall, Sin & Judgement : Part 6 – Romans 8

21 – 24 February

Unwinding the curse

Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

  • I like how this chapter begins, a culmination of Paul’s thesis of salvation.
  • ‘There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.’
  • The curse is removed! Life of God and blessings have come.
  • This life is ours by the Holy Spirit.
  • Remember this when the enemy brings doubt and condemnation. We are NOT GUILTY. We are freed!

Something to think about, then take some time to reflect on your answers

  • This chapter addresses suffering as well. It answers the WHY of suffering.

Romans 8:22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
Romans 8:23 Not only that, but we also who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

  • Living in this groaning world, we are waiting for our redemption to come full circle.

Ponder your actions during this time.

This is so true, we are not guilty we are freed in Jesus name . The holy spirit is in us.
All we need to do is believe. We are so overcome by the flesh we fail Jesus.
We desire the worldly things. We want to do what others do. We want what is wrong because we allow the flesh to take over and not allow the holy spirit to work in us for good.
    We are human, yes.
And we forget because we think we know everything
We forget, if God is for us, nobody can be against us
