Fall, Sin & Judgement : Part 1 – Genesis 3

3-5 February

Eating the fruit…Offspring

  • One cannot imagine how, that in the garden of bliss, where there was no sin, that this perfect couple could be tempted and led astray.
  • Even back then Satan, was very convincing and brought doubt on the Word of God.
  • I don’t think God was taken by surprise. He was ready with a plan to restore them. He came looking for them.
  • I do not think that even our sin now, takes God by surprise. I believe He is ready with a plan to bring us and present us to Himself faultless. He looks for us!
  • This work of presenting us faultless, I cannot imagine but am fully confident, He does draw and will eventually bring us to Himself blameless.

Something to think about, then take some time to reflect on your answers.

Temptations: Are you aware of some areas where you are tempted?

  • How did God rescue them? He restored and realigned them to His will.
  • What is God doing to restore you?
  • What lessons can we learn from this encounter Adam and Eve had with the devil?
  • How do you view God’s judgement?
  • What did you notice in God’s attitude to restore Adam and Eve?

God see everything we do. Weather right or wrong. He is a merciful God. He forgives our wrongs no matter how bad it is and see our rights when nobody else sees it. He loves us. He is our strenght when we are weak.
