CREATION: Part 7: Job 38

28 – 30 Jan 2024

Before I was born

  • The book of Job is an account of an amazing man of faith. Then he loses everything! But not his faith.
  • He, naturally has emotional wavering that led to questions.
  • In chapter 38 God responds in what may seem as Job ‘catching it’ but as you read you see God’s grace being abundantly poured on Job, shutting down every other road of thought that would’ve led to Job’s destruction.
  • God let’s Job know that He has a proven track record of faithfulness and goodness from before the world began.
  • The Lord let’s him know, that He isn’t about to change His mind concerning Job, in fact blessings are to follow because Job stayed faithful.

Something to think about, then take some time to reflect on your answers.

  • Reflect on the troubles and cares in our lives and how God has been faithful.
  • Write down those things that you’re praying about, then write down a time where God has answered another prayer. Think on these as God does not change, He is always for you. He did it before.
  • Let’s take some time to pray these verse over ourselves, let’s respond to Him in worship and prayer as we reflect?

God is always good no matter what we do or say. We may forget him sometime and do wrong. Or loose faith in him. But he new us before we were born. He knows the plans he has for us. He knows us by our names. I believe and i trust in him no matter what may happen to me. I trust in God always because he is a merciful, Ever Forgiving God.
